How is Internet Marketing affected by the Coronavirus

1. COVID-19 & FBA Freeze

With COVID-19 and the challenges it’s causing worldwide, we hope hope you are staying safe in this wild time.

As of today, Amazon has Frozen Non-Essential-Product Shipments from Its Third-Party FBA Sellers.

Amazon is still accepting some categories, but not all products are considered ‘essential’.

How has the coronavirus impacted your business? FBA & Affiliate Marketing?

We’ve definitely seen rising concerns, mostly over sourcing from China – but this recent move by Amazon certainly changes things.

With a recession almost certainly on the horizon, our industry is in a unique & strong position.

These trying times are when people are looking for new alternative ways to make money.

Now that so many people are working from home, now is a great time to get them started with entrepreneurship & selling on Amazon.

2. How is Internet Marketing affected by the Coronavirus?

As we’re sure you’re aware, things have been pretty hectic across the globe as we all deal with the Coronavirus.

Though health experts have made it clear that most of us will get through it just fine (though the elderly and those with certain severe health conditions certainly need to be cautious and on high alert) there has been a shock wave in the stock markets that has raised concern.

We are certainly not health experts (by any means), nor are we qualified to give financial advice, but we wanted to give our opinion, and address the one question we suspect you may have in regards to our industry, “how will this global issue affect Internet Marketing?”

Though we cannot say for sure what the exact outcome will be on Internet Marketers, some economic experts are predicting some level of recession.

Will this happen? If it happens, how long will it last? How severe will it be? We do not know the answers to these questions.

But here is what we do know: During the last recession our Internet Marketing businesses did better!

Does that mean every Internet Marketing business did better? Probably not. But any niche that has to do with making money (including Search Engine Optimization, business promotion, advertising, etc.) will likely do better in a recession (if there even is one).

Why? We believe they did better because when times are tough, people turn to the internet to create additional sources of income.

So, if Internet Marketing is your primary source of income (as it is for us)… particularly if you target the Internet Marketing niche, or other “make money” niches, though again we can’t say for sure how things will turn out (this is a unique situation), this should encourage you. We do not expect “the bottom to drop out” so to speak.

If Internet Marketing is NOT your primary source of income, this should be a “kick in the pants” to ramp things up, because the internet will ALWAYS provide opportunity for people like us (“regular Joes”) to build sustainable incomes that are not dependent on an employer!

It is also our opinion that the stock markets (especially in the U.S.) will rebound greatly once the coronavirus scare is over, as the economy was extremely healthy before the scare came about.

We hope that while we cannot give any concrete assurances, you’re encouraged by this.

We’re hoping, praying, and working for a positive outcome in every way, very soon!

Stay inside & keep hustling!
