I’ve been getting a lot of questions from my readers about to selling on Amazon and the Amazing Selling Machine (aka. ASM).
So I decided I’d put together in this post to answer some of the most commonly asked questions for you.
I’m sure you may have questions in your mind that you’re curious for the answers to, so here we go.
Q: How much money will it cost me to sell on Amazon?
A: This depends on the product you choose to sell, but I’ve seen Amazon sellers start with as low as $500. They teach you how to get started inexpensively inside the Amazing Selling Machine, but let me give you some examples of the expenses.
First, there’s some products you can get made in China for as low as $0.10 per unit (even lower, believe it or not). These are products that you can private label and put your packaging on it, then sell it on Amazon for up to $10 (or sometimes more).
If you started with a product that cost $0.10 per unit and you ordered 1000 units of it to start, that’d only cost you $100 to get started for inventory. Of course you’d also have to ship it to Amazon’s fulfillment center, which depends on the size/weight/quantity of the products.
Some products are more expensive to get made. Let’s say a product cost $1 to make, then getting 250 units of it would cost you $250.
You could then sell that on Amazon for $10 or more. Make sense?
So as you can see, it doesn’t require a lot of capital to get started selling on Amazon. That’s just a misconception many people have.
Other expenses will be getting a logo designed, creating your product label or packaging, shipping your product to Amazon fulfillment centers, etc… all that can be done inexpensively as well (logos can be made for $5 on Fiverr).
The point is, ANYONE can do this. I’ve seen enough people with financial challenges that have been able to get started on this and build a very successful, profitable business with very minimal money. So don’t let money hold you back.
The best investment you can ever make is in yourself and your own knowledge. Time is the only thing that can’t be replaced and it’s slipping by fast, which is why I recommend to invest money in a good training program such as Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) because that will allow you to actually know what you’re doing and make sure that you make money selling on Amazon, instead of making mistakes and potentially failing.

Q: It’s too late to start
A: When I talk to people about starting an Amazon business, and how it’s a great way to start your own business, I often hear from them:

In the US, Amazon has over 80 million Prime members, who pay $99 per year, so they could get free fast shipping and other perks.
And these numbers are constantly growing.
Amazon has become so big, that they even started buying retailers like WholeFoods. There are rumors that they plan to buy some other big names.
That is a huge number of buyers.
And they all need products! YOUR PRODUCTS.
So, I’d argue confidently that this opportunity hasn’t passed, it’s only just begun.
And you should take advantage of it.
The Chinese have a proverb: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now.”

Q: Can I sell on Amazon if I live outside of the USA?
A: Yes! Selling on Amazon is available in over 100 countries.
I live in Canada and many Amazon sellers live all over the world. To find out if your country is on the list, just try to set up an Amazon Seller Central account by clicking here (you don’t actually need to sign up, but just see if your country is listed when you try to).
The USA is the biggest and best market to start selling your product on Amazon.com, but you can also start off selling in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia and anywhere Amazon has a website set up.
Amazon will pay you via direct deposit (usually US dollars) to your bank account, for direct deposit to your Payoneer account (withdraw funds to your bank account and/or at ATMs worldwide) or via a check every two weeks (or however you have set up).
Q: What if I launch a product on Amazon and it fails?
A: First, if you follow what is taught inside the Amazing Selling Machine then this is VERY HARD to actually happen. To fail, you would have to do something that is the total opposite of what they teach inside their training program or make some big mistakes that shouldn’t happen.
Second, it’s actually very easy to recoup back your investment if your product doesn’t sell on Amazon for whatever reason. If your product cost you $1 to make and you’re selling it on Amazon for $10 and it’s not selling, then you could easily just lower the price and sell it low enough so that you make back your investment and cover your costs. For example, you could just slash the price down to $3 and there will always be people on Amazon that will buy it and you’ll cover your costs. So that eliminates the risk too.

The reality is, almost everyone that joins the Amazing Selling Machine already has a job, business, or something to pay their bills. Everyone is just as busy as you are and all start building their Amazon business part-time.
If you’re willing to spend a couple hours per week in your evenings or weekends, you can build a successful business within a few months. I’ve seen it time and time again.

Always remember that, because it will change your life.
If you are committed enough to something, you will find a way to do it.
If someone held a gun to your head and said “Find a way to come up with $4,000”, you would do it. Why? Because it’s become a must – If you can’t, you must. If you must, you can.
So understand that it is never a matter of money. It always comes down to commitment and wanting something bad enough.
It’s not until you realize that you can’t afford NOT to do something that you will make it important enough for you.
Think about it… what are the consequences of staying where you are at right now in your life?
What are you missing out on in your life?
Where are you going to be in the next 5 or 10 years, if you don’t take action and make some changes right now?
That’s what I always think about. Often, the pain always drives me to do whatever it takes. And that’s how I’ve been able to change my life.

People put their dream life on hold, never living up to their full potential, just because of self-doubt.
“But I never started a business before.”
